PageSpeed Insights: Page speed and content analysing tool
Posted by Bipul Raman on July 10, 2014.After analyzing through the tool, score is generated ranging from 0 to 100 points. A score of 85 and above is considered as a good score which means page loading speed is good and performing well.
PageSpeed Insights measures how the page can improve its performance on:
- time to above-the-fold load: Elapsed time from the moment a user requests a new page and to the moment the above-the-fold content is rendered by the browser.
- time to full page load: Elapsed time from the moment a user requests a new page to the moment the page is fully rendered by the browser.
- server configuration,
- HTML
- structure of a page
- page components such as images, JavaScript, and CSS.
To use this tool, we have two methods available. Either use it directly on web or use it via browser plugin.
